A pump-driven hydraulic circuit is used to move a pair of axes that are synchronized by continuous controllers for optimum bending of the part. Linear position sensing has been newly added to the machine for more accurate positioning. The machine operates in freely programmable bending recipe mode.

Control is provided by a Siemens S7-300 PLC, which controls the air cylinders via valve terminals to which the machine clamps are linked. And furthermore, it controls the running of the welding wheel over the material by means of a frequency converter.
