Vessels for the Brno Dam
For the Brno City Transport Company, we have delivered a comprehensive solution for the control of all five electro-ships cruising on the Brno dam. The delivery includes the engineering of the entire electrical part of the solution, the electrical equipment and all hardware as well as the control software. The boats are purely electric and an electric battery with a total weight of 10 tons is used for power supply.

Cruise ship Arnost of Pardubice
For the Transport Company of the City of Pardubice, we delivered a comprehensive solution for the reconstruction of the cruise ship’s steering. The reconstruction included an upgrade of the control system for the ship’s engines and rudder, and a complete replacement of the on-board galley wiring.

RailJay MkI – control unit for TEDOM diesel engine
Our company has developed the TEDOM TD242 diesel internal combustion engine control system for deployment on a rail vehicle, consisting of an engine control unit and a power switching module. The engine together with the VOITH/ZF automatic transmission forms the drive train of the vehicle. The engine is controlled via a CAN bus, with the engine control unit, the gearbox control unit and the higher-level control system among the participants.
The communication is based on the J1939 protocol including several proprietary modifications. The engine control unit controls the power actuators on the engine via a switching module.

Originally from France, this modernized motor coach is now used to transport Romanian passengers. TEDOM C12G bus
The vehicle is available in two variants – city or suburban bus designed for environmentally friendly and, with rising oil prices, economical public passenger transport, as the fuel is highly compressed natural gas CNG. The powertrain consists of a TEDOM petrol internal combustion engine in conjunction with a VOITH or ZF automatic transmission. The engine is controlled by an electronic throttle which communicates with the engine control unit via CAN or J1939 protocol.
The vehicle also features ECAS systems for controlling the vehicle’s roll at stops and a WABCO braking system combining ABS and ASR functions, i.e. anti-lock and anti-slip protection. All of these systems are participants in the CAN bus and are responded to by the engine management system in the event of a request for torque reduction during shifting or detected wheel slip during acceleration. The engine also features advanced diagnostics according to SAE J1939-73.

CNG locomotive 714.010
In Vítkovice Doprava a.s. a reconstruction of the 714 series locomotive was carried out and the main requirement was ecological operation. This requirement can be met under the condition of internal combustion engine-generator traction in basically the only economically advantageous way, i.e. to carry out the remotorization from the original diesel engines and to deploy a CNG ignition internal combustion engine. Thus, TEDOM natural gas engines operating at 250kW directly coupled to electric generators were used for the repowering. The advantage of this solution is the maximum available torque (tractive force) from zero vehicle speed.
The engine control is handled by a master system that sends a specific power demand to the electronic engine control unit. The engine power control itself is then handled by an electronic throttle and mixture control unit.

SAT 8 spreader
This is a vehicle with a Mercedes-Benz Actros chassis as its basic platform and a spreader body on top. The spreader operates in three modes, i.e. salt, brine or inert material spreading. As an addition, a packed mix mode has been added, so that the spreader can also be used in summer for road repairs. The superstructure is controlled by a mobile control system and the spreader can be operated directly from the driver’s cab or by remote control in packed mix mode. To ensure smooth regulation of the spreading intensity, the body control system communicates with the engine/vehicle control unit and the tachograph, from which the necessary data is read.
The solution also includes operation statistics and counting of the amount of material dispensed. Diagnostics of the superstructure status and diagnostics of the communication between the units are also available.

CAS MAN TGM tanker truck sprayers
This project was implemented in cooperation with THT Polička, where a tanker firefighting superstructure is installed on the MAN TGM 13.240 4×4 BL platform. The superstructure houses a 3.2m3 tanker, a high-pressure water pump and a flap system for the possibility of suction either directly from the tank or from an external water source. The superstructure also houses other necessary equipment such as an electric generator, powder extinguisher, floating pump, etc. To make the place of firefighting intervention clearer, it is possible to extend the pneumatic lighting mast, which has a light output of 4x500W.
In terms of control, the superstructure is equipped with five control systems and two displays, and thanks to this solution it is possible to control the high-pressure pump both from the rear of the superstructure and from the driver’s cab, ensuring continuous monitoring of the vehicle’s condition or readiness to drive after the end of the intervention – whether the folded footrests, open blinds, etc. are not forgotten. Pump discharge is handled by engine speed control via CAN bus and J1939 protocol.
